22nd International Symposium on Chironomidae ISC22

June 17–June 19, 2024. Niš, Serbia.

Dear colleagues, dear chironomid researchers,
we are delighted to announce that the homepage of the Symposium is now online! The registration link will be active from August 21, while the final list of sessions, submission forms, and poster guidelines will be available soon.
The ISC22 will be an in-person event with an all-inclusive registration fee that includes a rich scientific and social programme:

  • Access to all scientific sessions (including The Honorary Thienemann Lecture by dr Viktor Baranov Chironomidae palaeobiology: tale of blood, rust and amber)
  • Conference materials
  • Online access to abstracts
  • Networking and all coffee breaks
  • Lunch for all Symposium days
  • Two social events (the “wine tasting, music & more” evening event and the Closing dinner)
  • Guided city tours: walking and bus (city centre, the Fortress, the Skull Tower, Medijana archaeological site, Red cross concentration camp)
  • Traditional delicacies tasting (niški burek)

*This registration fee is also available for retired professors and researchers, as well as participants from low-Income and lower-middle-income countries.

Оne registration fee covers up to two abstracts (one oral and one poster presentation, two oral presentations, or two posters).

The registration fee does not include accommodation, travel expenses and personal insurance. We will provide support with your travel needs, and we are currently in discussions with hotels to secure discounted rates for accommodations in the city center, close to the conference venue.
